Two years ago, I outlawed political discussion at our Saturday morning That Man Is You men's group. Fellowship and spiritual development has to be the priority or we're wasting our time.

A ban on politics is becoming very common at parish groups because it becomes everybody’s focus instead of what they’re there for.

I explained that the devil wants us to look up at the world and focus on the things we can’t fix. God wants us to focus on the person in front of us, instead. The world gets a whole lot better, that way.

I think you typed “be” instead of “he” in that last line too. No worries, I catch stuff like that in my posts sometimes too, it happens to all of us! 😛
